Hebrews: No Bodies Perfect

Every year, we are bombarded by TV, print, and online ads selling us on the idea that this the year that extra weight finally comes off… According to some data, Americans spend over $60 billion annually to try to lose pounds.  However, it turns out even with all that work and money no bodies perfect.  The book of Hebrews reminds us that the Law is the only shadow of things to come because it involves flawed human beings.  However, Yeshua offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice so that we can be accepted by God as perfect.  The only downside is that now that we don’t have the daily Levitical sacrifices we also have a tendency to forget that we are still imperfect, sinners saved by grace.  In this week’s sermon, Rabbi Rosenberg challenges us to offer ourselves as a daily living
sacrifice, made possible by the work of Yeshua on the cross.  Yeshua offers himself as a perfect sacrifice so that we can offer our imperfect bodies in service to the Lord.
